MOLOTOW
To understand Molotow's relationship with graffiti, you have to look back in time. In 1959, Wilhelm Feuerstein laid the foundation stone for the company "Farben Feuerstein". Later, his son - Jürgen Feuerstein - took over the business and brought new perspectives with him. As a DJ, Jürgen Feuerstein already had a strong connection to the burgeoning hip hop scene and recognised the potential to combine his colour expertise with hip hop culture. The first spray can specialising in graffiti was born - reduced spray mist, sharp line edges and quieter spray cans without mixing balls. Molotow was not only there from the beginning, but is still an essential part of the graffiti world today.
Revolutionary innovations in the field of spray cans, such as the Molotow BURNER Chrome and the CoversAll Black, completely turned the graffiti game on its head back then and are still indispensable today. Molotow also quickly realised what artists, writers and creatives need in the fine arts sector. As already mentioned, the Belton Molotow can was the first graffiti spray can to be developed. The expertise gained over the years in this field has made Molotow what it is today.
