WELCOME TO THE HOOD - The Hood.. This is the part of town where socially weak structures are located. The "stories" are the stories that people tell each other on the street and everyone knows everyone here through a few corners - just bush radio. ADOPEKID is about the four friends Denis, Tayfun, Zocky and Dima. It's their "stories from the hood", which they tell each other with a lot of humor and suspense, sometimes maybe a bit exaggerated and brutal. As usual, they gamble, smoke pot and hang out together.
"Stories from the Hood" is about typical street stories - conflicts, action, friendships. No eye is guaranteed to stay dry here. Drugs, graffiti, weapons and a lot of crazy guys romp around in the world of Denis and his homies.
The hip hop comics by Eldin Bukalo aka ADOPEKID are extremely detailed and apart from the terrific humor, the drawings are also an absolute grenade. The unique style of ADOPEKID fits perfectly into the raw scenarios of the street and reflects the cold reality in the hood perfectly. ADOPEKID - What's behind it?
ADOPEKID aka Eldin Bukalo is the founder and the creative engine behind the ADOPEKID comics. The graphic designer has been hanging around in the hip-hop scene for quite some time and has given it his own touch. For a decade, hip-hop artists in particular have been the focus of his work. Thus, he is responsible for countless album cover artwork and logos. From Morlockk Dilemma and Sylabil Spill, Shindy and Kool Savas to SSIO - they all have already had their covers designed by Eldin Bukalo aka ADOPEKID. In 2015 an important step towards expansion was made and together with Marcel Huxholl the creative agency ADOPEKID UNION was founded.
In 2017, the ADOPEKID UNION publishing house was founded and with it the sublabel ADOPEKID COMIX. Thus, the way was paved for new artistic paths. "Stories from the Hood" is the first publication of ADOPEKID. The comic about the stories from the Hood is published 2x per year.
